Nice to see another 2yo debut winner for Massat, bred at Mickley Stud, as filly GRANNY BUDGIE took down the 6 furlong 2yo maiden at Nottingham for Rob Hornby and trainer George Scott. She was a bit green and missed the break, so her performance is all the more impressive, beating 13 rivals, some with previous experience. She made good headway over 4f out, disputed lead over 2f out, and led inside final furlong, buckling down and always doing enough. Out of a multiple winning sprinter, we expect her to improve considerably and could be quite useful.
