PEGGY’S ANGEL, a Captain Gerrard filly bred at Mickley Stud, had won on her previous start at Windsor for trainer Jo Hughes, but stepped up on that performance with a fine run at Chester in a very decent six furlong event, getting a great ride from Dougie Costello, and making it two wins from three outings. The 2 year old was staying on best inside the final furlong and looks capable of further improvement. Well done to all connections.
