Well done to Tom Dascombe and Owner/Breeder Dalwhinnie Bloodstock for a terrific win at Chester with CUBAN BREEZE. The 2yo daughter of Bated Breath, out of the Smart Strike mare Madam Mojito, was born and raised at Mickley Stud just 30 minutes away from Chester, making a truly local winner!
The filly is a half-sister to two winners and it didn't take long for Tom Dascombe and Richard Kingscote to get on the board at Chester! Cuban Breeze made all the running, dropped back to 5f for her nursery debut, and made good usse of the inside draw. The yard had won three of the previous six runnings of this race, and Cuban Breeze was always in control, finding plenty up the straight.
