Martha Divine kept on to win the Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown for trainer Paul Nolan and owners Mrs Sonia Buckey & Mrs Anne Coffey. The 5yo daughter of Telescope was an €11,000 purchase by Grove View Stud from Mickley Stud at Goffs December Sale. She has improved with each start and took a sizeable step forward to get off the mark at the third time of asking. She seemingly enjoyed this step up in trip and toughed it out well under what appeared a well-judged ride from Sean O’Keeffe. A half-sister to five winners including strong stayer Out Sam, she ought to get further in time too.
