Things didn’t work out for DAZEEKHA in first-time cheekpieces at Southwell last time, but the 5yo mare by Captain Gerrard made amends today at Wolverhampton for trainer Michael Herrington. Stepping up in trip, and bagging a prominent position in a race run at a steady gallop, she was better placed than most when they wound up the pace on the turn for home. With James Sullivan on board, Dazeekha made headway to chase the leader over 4f out, and despite not getting a clear run, she ran on well and managed to get her nose in front at the post.
