Today saw a quick-fire double for Mickley stallions at Doncaster, with MAGICAL WISH for Heeraat winning a Class 2 0-105 Handicap, and YOUNG TIGER winning for old favourite Captain Gerrard!
MAGICAL WISH filled the runner-up spot at Glorious Goodwood on his previous outing, and gained compensation under a well-judged ride from P J McDonald. He showed plenty of courage to repel a host of rivals for trainer Richard Hannon and Middleham Park Racing, coming home in front to win by a neck at a massive 18/1.
YOUNG TIGER earned his seventh career win for trainer Tom Tate, travelling sweetly for Andrew Mullen and he was always doing enough after hitting the front. This was his second success in his last three starts and a fast surface clearly suits him!
Well done all connections!
