An English raider by Captain Gerrard took the spoils for trainer Paul Midgeley at Navan yesterday, when One Boy landedd the WWW.NAVANRACECOURSE.IE HANDICAP, a 5 furlong sprint in testing conditions, pulling clear inside the final furlong. Despite never having won on anything softer than good, One Boy landed this quite snugly despite the Yielding To Soft ground. He always looked to be doing enough close home, and rider Pat Smullen said “He´s a grand horse and he got to the line well”.
