Group 1 Winner for Massaat!

WHAT A START TO ROYAL ASCOT!
PHOTO FINISH IN THE QUEEN ANNE STAKES… AND IT GOES TO DOCKLANDS!

If at first you don’t succeed … enter the race again!

Runner-up in last year’s Queen Anne Stakes, this time around DOCKLANDS got the better of Rosallion in a thrilling climax to the 2025 running of the Group 1 event at Royal Ascot for Harry Eustace and owners OTI Racing.

A strong field of 10 runners went to post for the Royal Ascot curtain-raiser, and Docklands boasts a fine record at Ascot having won twice and placed four times, which encouraged Eustace to have another crack at the prize this year.

This victory represented a landmark first top-level success for trainer Harry Eustace, and a first Group 1 winner for his sire MASSAAT, who was second in the 2,000 Guineas and is a half-brother to Eqtidaar.

There were multiple Group One winners in the race, including the Guineas winners from last year, but he loves the track, and is so genuine – he tries so hard!

Docklands is owned by the Australian group OTI Racing and had previously been ridden by today’s rider, the Australian jockey Mark Zahra, in last year’s Hong Kong Mile.

He was sold by Mickley Stud at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale, bought by Midland Equine for only 18,000gns – what a bargain!

“Genuine horses and genuine people never let anyone down.”
