John Butler’s KING CRIMSON battled on gamely at Leicester to land a second win in his last four starts. Quick into stride and bagging the stands’ rail, he was headed by the runner-up in the final furlong but showed more determination than that rival and got back up under a strong ride. No worse than second in his last five starts, the son of Captain Gerrard is in a rich vein of form at present.
