The 2yo Multiplex filly FELISA broke her maiden at Leicester yesterday after knocking at the door on several previous starts, and having been beaten only a neck at Catterick last time this was no more or less than she deserved. She was bred at Mickley Stud, out of a Captain Gerrard mare who herself won three times on both turf and the all weather so she will hopefully prove herself on both surfaces. Felisa has been in the frame in five of her nine previous starts, and fairly bolted up yesterday. Well done to trainer David Evans and jockey David Egan.
