SILKY LASS landed a £10,000 GBB Bonus for connections in the 1 mile Restricted Novice Stakes, and that was her first win from only five starts. She had run well in her previous races and can go on from this success. She raced prominently, taking the lead over 2f out, and faced a gutsy challenge inside the final furlong, but kept on well to see off the runner-up. She is a full sister to multiple winner Granny Budgie so hopefully will provide further success for Nick Bradley Racing and trainer Karl Burke.
SOLD OUT, bred by owner Eventmasters, did nothing wrong on his last start at Wolverhampton, and set a sound pace against the stands’ rail. He made virtually all the running, finding plenty under pressure and kept on well from over 1f out, winning by more than 2 lengths.
