THE DELRAY MUNKY, a credit to her sire Overbury, was shouldering an extra 4lb in her bid to land a four-timer, and was down in trip again for the Class 2 Handicap Hurdle at Haydock. She would have won it cleanly if she had not been hampered and stopped in her run by the winner after the last, but finished second in running. She ran on strongly and despite the interference still nearly got up to get her nose in front, and it was no surprise when she was awarded the race in the stewards room.
