A good day on both sides of the Irish Sea with Mickley graduates OVERHEER and NA CAITH TOBAC winning at Tipperary, and MILLY OF MAYO landing the spoils at Hexham!
Joseph G Murphy’s Overheer, by HEERAAT, just had to be pushed out inside the last furlong to see off his rivals quite readily. After some placed efforts in the summer, this was a good performance and he will hopefully follow up.
Sold as a foal by Mickley Stud, NA CAITH TOBAC hit the front over a furlong out, and didn’t stop, going away in the last half-furlong. Congratulations to trainer Paul W Flynn and connections.
MILLIE OF MAYO, a daughter of OVERBURY, won last time out and today went after the leader from the second-last and was well on top at the line. She had previously won over further, but the shorter trip on this stiffer track seemed to suit. Now 3-3 in handicaps, hopefully there is more to come for handler Nicky Richards and connections.
Well done all!
