DAZEEKHA, by Captain Gerrard, was 2lb higher than when coming from off the pace for a narrow victory over C&D on her previous start, but this time went from the front and she faced pressure for most of the way, but when shaken up over 1f out, the challengers were not getting to her. Congratulations to trainer Michael Herrington and jockey Jason Ward.
Just a couple of hours later, the Multiplex mare SUNSHINEANDBUBBLES, who won by 8 lengths over C&D last time, won a decent fillies and mares handicap at the track under her penalty, and finished clear of two tough rivals who dead-heated for second place. She’s enjoying career-best form and got a great ride from Joe Fanning – well done to trainer Jennie Candlish and owners Amazing Racing.
