TAKEITORLEAVEIT, a previous C&D winner on soft (in first-time cheekpieces), proved he could handle faster ground returning from 179 days off at Bath, showing a good attitude to double his tally. This was just his third handicap, so he can have more to come. Congratulations to Lambourn trainer Jonathan Portman and jockey Rob Hornby!

Later in the evening at Wolverhampton, CROWN INN TO WIN was confidently ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, and produced to challenge to comfortably reverse placings with last week’s C&D conqueror Forever Perfect. This was his first win, but there’s every likelihood that it won’t be his last. Well done to Ivan Furtado and owners Alpha Site Services.
