Two Winners at Hamilton

Two Winners at Hamilton

What do you know? Another winner broken at Mickley Stud for Paul & Clare Rooney. TITI MAKFI won by four lengths today at Hamilton. After being placed in four of her five starts as a 2yo, Titi Makfi lost her maiden tag at the first time of asking on making her seasonal reappearance. She travelled smoothly in front and put the race to bed in a matter of strides for jockey Joe Fanning. She can improve for that and hopefully win a few more for the Mark Johnston yard.

In the very next race at Hamilton, the Captain Gerrard gelding AMY BLAIR gained compensation for his recent short head defeat. That was over today’s course and distance, but he saves his best for the track and he dug deep inside the final furlong to win for the second time over C&D. Well done to rider Conor Beasley, trainer Keith Dalgleish, and connections.
