Amantius, a son of Multiplex, is one of his progeny that has taken to the jumping game, and he followed up his December win at Leicester in fine style today at Wincanton. Up 6lb for his Leicester win over 2 miles, and not inconvenienced by a 5 furlong increase in trip, Aidan Coleman rode him to victory in the ROA/Racing Post Owners Jackpot Handicap Hurdle, beating 17 rivals for trainer Johnny Farrelly. He´s improving and in cracking form, so may well land a hat-trick after this cracking performance, and once again shows the versatility of the sire – sprinters, hurdlers and chasers, he produces them all.
