SONIC PIONEER got off the mark when getting away smartly from the outside draw at Wolverhampton, and was able to adopt a handy position going into the first bend. He raced prominently, making headway to lead a furlong out, and ran on well inside the final furlong to claim victory over the extended mile. He left his novice form behind on this handicap debut, appreciating the step up in distance and seeing his race out well.
