Mickley Graduate Wins at Lingfield
Lightening Mann, bred by Dalwhinnie Bloodstock, opened up smartly to break his maiden at Lingfield for Opulence Thoroughbreds, Edward Greatrex, and red-hot trainer Jack Channon, who bought him with Armando Duarte & John Kilbride for 40,000gns at Tattersalls October Book 2. He was previously sold by Mickley Stud as a foal.
The 3yo showed promise last year, but hadn’t been in action since finishing fifth at Doncaster in July, and made a successful return to the track, up in trip on his AW debut for a stable in top form. He set the standard and shaped as though still capable of further improvement.
Well done to all connections, especially the red-hot Jack Channon team – six winners from their last six runners!
