Double Up For Multiplex

Multiplex continued his great run today with an across the card double, as two of his offspring landed the spoils – Ickymasho taking her total up to seven wins and Surround Sound winning his 4th race.

ICKYMASHO recorded her 7th career win when stepping up in class at Chelmsford and defied a 6lb rise in the weights to record back-to-back wins at the Essex course for trainer Jonathan Portman and jockey Richard Kingscote. She was able to hold off a host of challengers after quickening early in the straight to win by 1/2 length. A great result for connections and over £12,000 to the winner for this Class 2 contest. Very well done to all connections.

SURROUND SOUND, placed in all three starts since returning in January, benefitted from a change of tactics under Rachel Richardson, and she got things spot on at wolverhampton today, making sure there was no chance of him leaving it too late by circling the field to hit the front before reaching the home straight and winning easily. This was his fourth win, and no reason why he can’t win again for Tim Easterby with similar tactics.
