Following on from the success of Royal Marskell, another son of Multiplex, the four year old Multideal, bred by Mickley Stud, won the Prix du Roussillon at Saint-Cloud at the juicy odds of 25-1. Always in the leading group, jockey Ronan Thomas kicked on and led well to win by 1 3/4 lengths for trainer P Marion.
