Billy Bronco, who was bred at Mickley Stud, won his race easily yesterday at Ayr Racecourse. That performance followed up nicely on the win for his full brother – Tobefair – in a Class 2 Hurdle at Warwick on Saturday! It’s a good family, and we also bred their half brother Sweeney Tunes, by Karinga Bay, whose best result was when he won a Grade 2 Novice Chase. Billy Bronco has not been out of the frame in four starts, winning twice, so he is exceptionally promising. After winning his debut race in a Towcester bumper last January, he went to the Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham Sale, where he was bought for 110,000gns. His new connections must be thrilled with his performances, well done to them.
