A winner by Multiplex rounded off the year nicely when Gold Club took the honours for trainer Lee Carter and rider Charlie Bennett in Divisions II of the 6f sprint at Lingfield. He was runner-up over C&D on his debut for this yard last time out, when returning from a three-month break, and this time made his lead count to just hold on in the closing stages and go one better.
