TREBLE FOR YORGUNNABELUCKY!

TREBLE FOR YORGUNNABELUCKY!

Three winners in one day for Mickley Stud stallion YORGUNNABELUCKY with FORTUNES MELODY, MACTAVISH and SUMMER NIGHT CITY all enjoying success on the track TODAY!

Fortunes Melody (pictured), trained in France by D Bressou for owners Simon Munir & Isaac Souedeet, took down the Prix Jean Sens over hurdles at Auteuil on testing ground, achieving a four length success and bagging prize money of over £22,000 in the process. That was his fifth career win.

Back in the UK, Mactavish landed the Novice Handicap Hurdle at Hereford for local trainer Matt Sheppard. He had run well on two of his last three starts, most recently over C&D, and did enough to pick up his first win on only his fifth start for the stable.

Also at Hereford, the 3yo gelding Summer Night City showed improvement to win the Junior “National Hunt” Hurdle, despite being hamopered by a loose horse for much of the way, quickening the pace from three out and running on well in the closing stages. He was Ben Brookhouse’s fourth consecutive National Hunt winner, so congratulations to him and his father Roger, who owns the horse!
