A good week with Peggy’s Angel winning at Windsor on her 2nd start & Heartstone romping up at Chepstow last night, in addition to four further winners abroad!
Another 2yo winner for Captain Gerrard as PEGGY’S ANGEL took the honours at Windsor on only her second start. This Jo Hughes trained filly set the form standard based on her fifth on debut over this 6f trip at Haydock, and raced in touch towards the near rail, coming through to lead about 1f out and held off the favourite for a deserved success at odds of 9/2. The second home cost 160,000gns in May, so this was a decent performance and she should become a decent filly for the future.
HEARTSTONE, trained by David Evans and owned by Richard, showed a decent attitude to break her maiden at Chepstow. She was sharper for last week’s return to action and gave David Evans a double on the night.
