Earlier this afternoon, THINGS HAPPEN, a son of Captain Gerrard, lost his maiden tag over the extended 9 furlongs at Wolverhampton. Jointly bred at Mickley Stud by Richard Kent and trainer David Evans, the 3yo was suited by a step up in trip, and got a great run against the inside rail into the straight. Adam Kirby gave him a great ride, staying on well to record the gelding’s first win for owners Paul & Clare Rooney. Well done to them, who are very much appreciated as great supporters of the sport and the breeding industry, and of course another brilliant training performance from the irrepressible David Evans.
